Parasitic Intestinal Worms: Cleansing & Diet Changes
Some information on what these parasites do to the body, how to clear them, and diet tips to stop them returning.
I just posted a meme on Facebook about intestinal parasites (worms) and decided to write up some information to include with it.
As you can see in the meme below, there’s certain symptoms that can come up as a result of these parasites.
When we do have parasite infestations inside us, our behaviors, decision making and mods can change. The impact can be:
Physical fatigue and lethargy, causing us to be unmotivated, drained, not interested in life.
Irritability and anxiety, increasing emotional sensitivity, feeling overwhelmed, heightened anxiety.
Digestive issues, making us avoid certain foods and obsessively seeking others.
Mental fog and difficulty concentrating, forgetting things, loss of motivation, causing problems with making informed or thoughtful decisions.
Sleep disturbances including insomnia, stress, anxiety, and depression.
And as a result, these things can:
Increase sugar cravings
Cause depression and low motivation
Bring on nervousness and feeling on edge
Cause compulsive behaviors
Increase emotional sensitivity or disconnect
Clearing the Parasites Out
Basically, there’s individual herbs that can help, but it’s much easier to get a natural solution that’s got a combination of them.
Here’s some examples below, but you can look this up locally to you to find one. Just search for something like “natural parasite cleanse supplements", “herbal parasite detox pill” or “anti-parasitic herbal supplements”. (or visit a health food shop in person)
Note that it can take 2-4 weeks of taking these, and with some solutions it’s recommended to take a 1 week break and then repeat for another 1-2 weeks just to be sure.
For those sensitive to parasites, you should use an option like this 1-2 times a year.
I recommend you consult a homeopath or naturopath if you have any concerns. There are now homeopathic and Naturopathic AI options out there, if you can’t afford to see one, such as this one here (sign in, then use the link a second time to find the right AI).

Will they come back?
It’s important to look into your diet to see what might be causing it.
Eliminate Sugar and Processed Foods: Parasites thrive on sugar. Reducing sugar and processed carbohydrates can make your body less hospitable to them.
Eat Fiber-Rich Foods: Fiber helps flush out waste, including parasites, from your digestive system. Include vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
Consume Fermented Foods: Foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, and yogurt (unless you’re dairy free like me—7 years now!) with probiotics help improve gut health and may create an unfavorable environment for parasites.
The following foods are Anti-Parasitic:
• Garlic: A natural anti-parasitic with sulfur compounds that kill parasites.
• Pumpkin Seeds: Contain cucurbitacin, which paralyzes worms, making them easier to expel.
• Papaya Seeds: Effective against intestinal worms; consume them blended with honey or as a powder.
• Pineapple: Contains bromelain, an enzyme that breaks down parasites.
• Raw Carrots and Beetroot: High in fiber, which helps expel worms from the intestines.
• Coconut: Fresh coconut or coconut oil has antimicrobial properties.
• Apple Cider Vinegar: Helps create an inhospitable environment for parasites due to its acidic nature.

One of my early blog posts on here was about energetic parasites, which is much more common that you’d realise. If you haven’t read this one, check it out:
